Construction Diploma Training Records
Introduction
This is a recording system for the training qualifications, which supports Learners by informing them in a user-friendly way of the contents, requirements, and responsibilities of undertaking the qualification.
It provides an overall trackable and therefore auditable trail of the programme of training. The Standard Version is designed for Centres to complete, by referencing their own practical training projects to the individual Unit Checklists, whereas the Enhanced Version has already been referenced to the CITB ‘TMP’ Training Programme, as has the Programme and Record of Practical Projects.

Additional documents are supplied to help support aspects of training and criteria that have to be met, but which are often unsubstantiated e.g.
- reporting discrepancies and problems
- handling, maintaining and storing resources
- monitoring health and safety in the workshop environment
- risk assessing practical projects / activities.
For Centres who purchase the Training Records for two or more occupations, Ann Cook will deliver (as part of the purchase price) a 3-hour session to the Teaching Teams who will be using the materials, to assist them maximise their use of the documents. Included in the session will be a practical activity to help familiarise the staff with the documents, and their use. A certificate will be issued to the College to confirm that a Standardisation Activity, directly relating to the implementation of the new Training Record format, has taken place.
The Training Records satisfy Quality Assurance requirements of the Awarding Organisation (Cskills Awards) and provides standardisation across all occupations and levels within a Centre, but also between Centres regionally, and increasingly, nationally.
