Continuous Professional Development (C.P.D.) and Standardisation Activities
Introduction
We deliver C.P.D. and Standardisation sessions both 'in house' and also via Seminars delivered nationally.
Examples of tailored and bespoke sessions are -
- Specialist Craft skills for experienced Painters and Decorators i.e. graining and marbling, gilding, stencilling, specialist wallcoverings, contract vinyls, spray painting, broken colour work (rag rolling, sponge stippling)
- Development of Assessment and Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) techniques i.e. writing Assessor Observation Reports, conducting professional discussion, countersigning trainee Assessors and Internal Verifiers
- Standardisation of assessment activities, particularly when new or revised National Occupational Standards / Qualification Specifications or Training Qualifications are released
- Updating previous qualifications e.g. D32, D33 or A1 to Standard 9 or D34 / V1 to Standard 11
