Learning & Development Units
Required for the Delivery of Construction Awards
L9 - Create a Climate that Promotes Learning
L11 - Enable Learning through Demonstrations and Instruction
L12 - Enable Individual Learning Through Coaching
L13 - Enable Group Learning
Introduction
The Awarding Body for Construction requires people who deliver their training qualifications, known as Construction Awards to hold, as a minimum qualification, the group of four Learning and Development Units which are listed above.
This Group of Units is relevant for -
- Accredited NVQ Centres wishing to have more qualified Trainers to deliver the Construction Awards at Foundation, Intermediate or Advanced Levels
- Highly Experienced Craftsmen wishing to alter their career path and learn to become a Trainer of their Craft Skills
- Part-time deliverers of Construction Craft Training, wishing to progress to the delivery of recognised qualifications
Outcome
Our programme is structured to -
- Assess the needs of each individual, through an initial questionnaire, as to the level of training required, prior to commencement of the 'L' Unit qualifications
- Introduce the Trainer Candidate to the skills and knowledge required of them, through a combination of presentations and activities
- Allow time for the implementation and practice of these new skills, before undertaking assessment
- Enable the Trainer Candidate to plan for and generate evidence for all four units simultaneously, reflecting the natural use of all the skills whilst delivering Craft Training
- Be delivered nationally and 'in house', according to demand
